Panel diskusija: Kreativni gradovi – Turizam i urbana revitalizacija

U okviru Programa razvoja turizma Ambasade SAD u Beogradu, Turistička organizacija Srbije, Američki kutak i izdavačka kuća Klio, uz podršku Doma omladine Beograda, vas sa zadovoljstvom pozivaju da učestvujete u panel diskusiji “Kreativni gradovi – Turizam i urbana revitalizacija”.
Govornici: Džejms Holt, Međunarodna asocijacija festivala i manifestacija i Kvanza Hol, gradski odbornik (Atlanta, Džordžija, SAD). Moderatori: Višnja Kisić, kustos i menadžer u kulturi i Goran Tomka, istraživač i menadžer u kulturi.
Kako grad može postati prepoznatljiv, uzbudljiv, udoban i privlačan kako turistima tako i njegovim građanima? Kakva je uloga kulture, umetnosti i kreativne industrije u ovome procesu? Kakva je veza između konkurentnosti identiteta i strateškog formiranja politike turizma? Kako kreirati, koordinirati, sprovoditi i izvršiti evaluaciju takve složene strategije? Kako da očuvate identitet uprkos zahtevima tržišta? Kako da uravnotežite i zadovoljite potrebe i interese različitih zainteresovanih strana?
U današnjem svetu, koji povezuje i pokreće turizam, postaje sve važnije da se napravi mesto koje je atraktivnije, privlačije i uzbudljivije u cilju stvaranja prepoznatljive turističke destinacije. U fokusu ovog panel biće razgovor o dve strategije korišćenja kulture i kreativne industrije u postizanju ovog cilja- strategiji brendiranja destinacije i strategiji festivalizacije. Ove strategije otvaraju nove ekonomske, socijalne, kulturološke i političke prilike, ali stvaraju i neke nove rizike i izazove.
Razgovor će se voditi na engleskom jeziku.
Guest speakers
Mr. James Holt, has successfully directed one of the United States’ largest and most successful annual festivals, Memphis in May International Festival, since 1998. Mr. Holt currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) and has previously served on the Board of the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau, Memphis Riverfront Development Corporation and the Memphis Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Mr. Kwanza Hall, city councilman representing District 2 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is an advocate for programs and policies that support entrepreneurs and members of Atlanta’s creative community. He was voted by an independent media panel as one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans. Atlanta’s American Institute of Architects chapter created the Kwanza Hall Award for civic leadership in architectural design, and Georgia State University honored him with the Pioneer Award, its highest award for leadership promoting arts and culture in downtown Atlanta.
Moderators
Ms. Višnja Kisić, researcher, curator and manager in culture whose main interests include heritage interpretation, management and citizen’s engagement. She is a PhD candidate and teaching assistent at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and lecturer at ModArt Faculty for Fashion Design and Management. She gained practical experience in Europa Nostra, National Museum in Belgrade, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Bienalle di Venezia, Museum of Art and Archaeology Columbia. She has been actively invoved in civil sector as initiator, consultant and manager of heritage and culture projects in SEE region since 2008. She is the winner of the Cultural Policy Research Award 2013.
Mr. Goran Tomka, researcher and manager in cuture, whose main interests include cultural and media audiences on and all the social and political forces that shape them and are shaped by them. He is a PhD candidate in Cultural Management and Policy at the Faculty of Drama Arts in Begrade, and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Sport and Tourism from Novi Sad and at the UNESCO master programme in Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Arts. Previosly, he has worked as a project manager in a cultural center in Berlin, as a street activist, as a trainer in youth activism, as a project management consultant and many more.
